Plagiarism Policy
GOAJS is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and is considered a serious violation of publishing ethics.
What Constitutes Plagiarism?
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying text, data, images, or ideas from previously published work without proper citation.
- Paraphrasing content without appropriate acknowledgment.
- Self-plagiarism (reusing one’s own previously published content without proper reference).
- Using AI-generated content without disclosure and meaningful author contribution.
- Submitting someone else's work as one's own.
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are screened using reputable plagiarism detection tools (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate). Additional checks may be performed manually by editors or reviewers when necessary.
Consequences of Plagiarism
When plagiarism is identified, GOAJS will take appropriate action depending on the severity, including:
- Immediate rejection of the manuscript.
- Retraction of the published article.
- Notification of the authors’ affiliated institutions or funders.
- Permanent or temporary ban on future submissions from the involved authors.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is original and properly cited. Prior to submission, authors are encouraged to use plagiarism detection software to verify the integrity of their manuscripts.
Appeals and Corrections
Authors have the right to appeal plagiarism findings by submitting a formal explanation. Appeals will be reviewed by the Editorial Ethics Committee. Corrections or apologies will be issued if an error in the plagiarism assessment is confirmed.
Commitment to Ethical Publishing
GOAJS strives to foster a culture of honesty, transparency, and responsibility in scientific publishing. We are dedicated to educating and supporting authors, editors, and reviewers in the responsible use and citation of research content.
