Appeals and Complaints Policy

The Global Open Access Journal of Science (GOAJS) is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and ethical publishing process. We recognize that authors, reviewers, and other stakeholders may occasionally have concerns or grievances. This policy outlines the procedure for handling appeals and complaints related to editorial decisions, peer review, publication ethics, or journal processes.

Appeals Against Editorial Decisions

  • Authors have the right to appeal a rejection or any editorial decision by submitting a formal written request to the editorial office at editor@goajs.org.
  • The appeal must include a detailed justification and evidence supporting the case.
  • The appeal will be reviewed by a senior editor or the Editor-in-Chief who was not involved in the original decision.
  • The outcome of the appeal is final and will be communicated promptly to the author.

Complaints About Peer Review or Editorial Conduct

  • Complaints regarding delays, biased reviews, or inappropriate editorial behavior should be submitted via email with supporting details.
  • The complaint will be investigated objectively, and a resolution will be provided within a reasonable timeframe.
  • We ensure that all complaints are handled confidentially and without retaliation.

Ethical Complaints

Concerns regarding suspected plagiarism, research misconduct, conflict of interest, or unethical behavior should be reported immediately. GOAJS follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines for investigating ethical issues.

Resolution and Corrective Actions

  • Where a complaint is upheld, corrective actions such as apology letters, article corrections, or retractions may be issued.
  • All investigations will be conducted with fairness, transparency, and confidentiality.
